What’s Happening at Dezine 2015
I hope we all had a happy and safe Christmas and new year!!! It's hard to believe that Feb is almost over. We have an early Easter this year and will be very busy as we all want to look our best when catching up with family and loved ones. If you are wanting to have any services done around this time, please make sure to book ahead so you don't miss out.
Wow! The year has gone by so fast. As one door closed when we said good bye to Kelly, another opened with the inclusion of Caitie to our team. The team have been in “learning mode” during the past few months. We love to learn new skills and keep up with all industry trends. Lea has completed and intensive cutting course, Caitie has been learning about curl, movement and up styles and Maddy has been busy with styling men’s hair on the cutting floor. Sharni is always guiding and nurturing her DeZine team to be the best we can be! With Christmas fast approaching we are all ready to spoil our clients. Tis’ the season for spoiling!!
We would like to mention and welcome our newest staff member. Maddy started a full time apprenticeship with us in December and is settling in very well. In the instance that Maddy is able to assist you with an appointment over the phone, we do appreciate your patience as it takes a little time to learn our booking system.
Lea has now been with us for two and a half years and is flying ahead. She is now preforming men's and ladies cuts, colour application and some amazing blow drys and styles. Lea's college teacher has mentioned that she is a naturally talented hairdresser. While Sharni was on holidays recently, Lea had the privilege of looking after her regular clients and will be doing the same when our most loyal and experienced stylist Kelly is on holidays in June.
We will provide more information on our Facebook page regarding Kelly's leave as June approaches.
The whole team at Dezine Hair will be attending a hair show and training day featuring international guest artists this march. We are all so excited to learn the newest fashions and share them with you!!!
As we step out of hibernation and with winter behind us we are enjoying feeling fresh and hydrated. Our favourite product is our “TRUE HUE” – our instant colour locking treatment. It helps reduce frizz, gives instant shine and protects and extends the life of your colour. Ask us about our “True Hue” at your next visit.
You know how much we love our GHDs!! The Arctic GOLD PLATINUM GIFT SET is a beautiful new inclusion to the GHD family. Just like our Eclipse, the ARCTIC GOLD features GHD's new patented trizone technology, which regulates the plates and keeps them a constant 185 degrees (the optimum temperature for heat styling). The trizone technology ensures the temperature is exactly the same at all points on the plate, giving an even distribution of heat and therefore improved results when styling and less potential damage. Additionally, the GHDs feature 'cool touch' technology, which keeps the body of the Styler cool and stops you from burning your fingers!
This special set includes a white GHD Platinum styler, a gold thermal mat and roll bag and 2 sectioning clips in a beautiful gift box. This special box makes the perfect gift! You will love creating Christmas curls and sleek style to your hair all festive season long.
Magnolia Thermal Protect
Our favorite product to protect against any heating element is definitely Bain De Terre Magnolia thermal iron protector. This product is paraben free, contains light oils and botanical scents. It will condition and protect your hair from harmful heat up to 232 degrees Celsius. We love the fact that it is fast drying, frizz free and gives a beautiful shine.
This product is suitable for all hair types and is very light weight. $24.95
The Eclipse GHD
The Eclipse features Ghd's new patented trizone technology, which regulates the plates and keeps them a constant 185 degrees (the optimum temperature for heat styling). The plates on the Gold series are amazing, but can occasionally be prone to hot spots, which cause that nasty fizzing sound when you are straightening.
The trizone technology ensures the temperature is exactly the same at all points on the plate, giving an even distribution of heat and therefore improved results when styling and less potential damage.
Additionally, the straighteners feature 'cool touch' technology, which keeps the body of the Styler cool and stops you from burning your fingers!
So many of people who come to see us with thick hair, ask for layers to help thin out their hair. This can actually make things a lot harder to maintain as the layers bounce up and make your hair look even bigger.
You have heard of “bronzing”! Now we can “BRONDE”! With just a few drop foils put into the hair we can achieve those soft, beachy tones; perfect for that sun-kissed look!
THE STYLE OF THE MOMENT
Ecaille is the hair trend of the moment, the mix of light and dark tones is very versatile and can be altered to suit various skin tones and hair lengths. Many of the colours used for Ecaille are created using hair painting, a style of painting highlights by hand, which is becoming quite popular.
Ecaille is a wearable natural dynamic colour fashion. It’s a feeling of colour that anyone can wear, as long as it stays within the tones of the person’s natural hair colour. This is a low-maintenance colour and looks great as it grows out. Today, people are looking for drama without looking ridiculous and still need to survive in the work place. Hair looks like it never needs to be done. It’s the “done” hair color. Ecaille hair color is a perfect balance.
As the fall is coming, we will be seeing lots of warm browns honey blondes and rich auburns.
If you’re not completely sure which color is for you, you can always opt for a semi-permanent, or go for an ombre look that’s a bit more subtle. Just print out the hair color of your favorite celebrity and head straight to see us.
We find satisfaction in giving our clients the best experience possible. We rely on your feedback to know where we can improve. If you have any input or even just some questions; we would love to hear from you!
